Research Misconduct Policy
The International Journal of Recent Innovations (IJRI) is committed to maintaining the accuracy, originality, reliability, and ethical integrity of all submitted and published research.
The journal zero-tolerates fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, data/image manipulation, citation manipulation, peer-review manipulation, false authorship, ethical fraud, or any practice compromising the scholarly record. Allegations are handled fairly, confidentially, and objectively following established ethical standards.
Fabrication
Creating, inventing, or reporting non-existent data, survey responses, unconducted experiments, false participant records, fabricated references, or fake ethical documents.
Falsification
Manipulating research materials, omitting unfavourable data, altering sample sizes/statistical findings, or concealing contradictory results to present misleading conclusions.
Plagiarism & Text Recycling
Direct copying, uncredited paraphrasing, undisclosed translation, or substantial reuse of previously published self-content (abstracts, figures, conclusions) without attribution.
Prohibited Publication & Research Practices
Reporting Suspected Misconduct
Complaints should be reported to the Editorial Office with manuscript titles, clear descriptions, screenshots, and supporting evidence. Anonymous allegations containing specific, credible, and verifiable data will also be investigated.
Formal Investigation Procedure
The Editor-in-Chief conducts initial assessments, requests original raw data/ethics files, consults independent experts, or communicates with institutions/funders while providing authors a reasonable opportunity to respond.
Confidentiality, Neutrality & Fairness
All allegations are handled with strict confidentiality. Information is shared only with individuals directly involved in the investigation or legal inquiry. Editors with personal, financial, or institutional conflicts are strictly excluded from managing the proceedings.
Spectrum of Possible Editorial Sanctions
Corrections
Issued when an error affects part of an article without invalidating main findings. Remains linked to the original file with clear correction dates.
Expressions of Concern
Published when serious questions arise, evidence is inconclusive, or institutional inquiries are pending, alerting readers to possible issues.
Retractions
Executed for unreliable findings, fabrication, major plagiarism, or peer-review fraud. Permanently linked notice details reasons; original text is marked retracted.
Honest Errors vs. Misconduct
IJRI clearly distinguishes deliberate misconduct from honest mistakes or academic interpretation differences. Unintentional errors are corrected transparently through errata rather than punitive sanctions.
Appeals Framework
Authors may appeal misconduct decisions in writing if procedural errors occurred or overlooked evidence emerges. Simple disagreement with decisions without new factual evidence will not be reconsidered.
Policy Compliance & Record Preservation Notice
Authors, reviewers, and editors must cooperate fully with investigations. IJRI retains confidential records of inquiries and reserves the full right to correct, update, or retract published material to protect the integrity of scientific literature.
